AEOLIAN #4

AEOLIAN #4,
(AEOLIAN SHARP 4, AEOLIAN SHARP FOUR)

AKA the HUNGARIAN GYPSY SCALE as it is known in some quarters, Although according to WIKIPEDIA this name can be applied to a few scales.

The AEOLIAN #4 Scale is the 4th mode of Neapolitan Minor and is composed of the following intervals: 1,2,b3,#4,5,b6,b7.

It is identical to the Aeolian Mode or Natural Minor Scale but with a #4.

The boxes below show you the scale over the whole neck, as a 3 octave scale and as the 7 three note per string positions that link together to let you play it any where on the fretboard.
